I bought this dress for my cousin’s wedding cause I wanted something formal but not over-the-top. Gotta say, the beading on it is gorgeous. It actually looks better in real life than it did in the pics. Real fancy, sparkly but not too much. The V-neck is deep but not too revealing, just classy.
The fit around the waist is pretty flattering too. That waistband really pulls you in, makes your shape look good even if you’re not slim-slim. The cap sleeves are cute, and I liked that I didn’t need a shawl or anything extra with it.
BUT — and this is a big but — it’s long. Like, really long. I’m 5’3 and even with heels it was dragging on the floor. I almost tripped walking up the stairs. Had to get it hemmed which wasn’t cheap, especially after already paying a good bit for the dress.
Also, it’s not super stretchy. So if you’re between sizes, go up. I’m usually between 6 and 8 and the 8 fit better, especially with all the beading — you don’t wanna feel stuck in there. It’s not a dance-all-night kinda dress unless you’re okay with moving a little careful.
Zipper in the back worked fine, just needed help getting it up cause of all the beads. And yeah, the beads – they’re beautiful but you def gotta treat this dress gentle or they might fall off. Not for everyday use, obviously.
Overall it’s a stunner. Just be ready for the extra length and handle it with care. Got lots of compliments though, so I’d say it was worth it for the event
